Built in Louisiana, for Louisiana.
I'm Janson Delaney. I grew up in Alexandria, Louisiana, and I live in Lafayette now with my wife and our two kids. Novus Group is the studio I started to bring serious software and AI work to companies in this state.
Six years of software development, most of it leading teams that build and deploy real products, including the AI features that have moved from novelty to expected over the last few years. Novus exists so Louisiana companies don't have to fly someone in from Austin or San Francisco to get that level of work done.
A short version, since you asked.
A proud graduate of UL Lafayette for undergrad and LSU for my MBA, where I focused on emerging technology: artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Six years since then leading small teams to build products that real customers depend on. The last few of those have been AI-focused: designing the models, evaluating them honestly, and wrapping them in interfaces that actual users can live with.
I started Novus because the AI conversation in Louisiana is mostly happening through vendors who fly in, pitch a deck, and leave the implementation to whoever's around. I think we can do better here. The work doesn't need to happen somewhere else. It needs to happen well, by people who'll still be around to answer questions a year from now.
When I'm not working, I'm with my wife and our two kids. They're the reason I'm building this here rather than chasing it somewhere else.
What I bring to every engagement.
Senior work, no handoff
The person who scopes the work is the one who writes the code. No bait-and-switch with a junior team after the contract closes.
Honest about AI
I'll tell you when AI isn't the right answer, even when it costs us the engagement. The hype cycle isn't my business; the result is.
Local, on purpose
I'm in Lafayette. I can drive to your office. That matters more than people pretend, both for the work and for what happens after.
